Share the Driving During Your Stay in French Guiana
Are you travelling with family, friends or as part of a group for a business trip? With the additional driver option, you can add one or more additional drivers to your Europcar Guyane car rental agreement.
Adding an additional driver allows you to:
✅ Reduce driver fatigue by taking turns behind the wheel
✅ Share longer journeys, particularly useful when travelling across French Guiana
✅ Enjoy greater flexibility throughout your stay without relying on just one driver
✅ Take turns driving when needed, if the main driver does not wish or is unable to drive at a particular time
For everyone to drive with peace of mind, anyone who may drive the vehicle must be listed on the rental agreement. Registered drivers are therefore covered by the insurance and protection included with the rental.
Additional Driver Rates and Conditions
The additional driver option is available from €3 per day, per driver.
Each additional driver must meet the requirements for driving the rented vehicle. For full details on the applicable requirements, please refer to our General Rental Terms and Conditions, particularly the information regarding age and driving licence requirements.
How to Add an Additional Driver to Your Rental
The additional driver option can easily be added when making your booking.
When booking online, which we recommend so you can take advantage of our web discount, select the “additional driver” option when choosing your options and equipment.
When picking up your vehicle, simply ask our team to add an additional driver.
To validate the option, remember to bring the original driving licence of the main driver and each additional driver. The main driver must also be present when the rental agreement is signed.

Insurance | Young Driver
You must pay the young driver insurance if you have had your license for less than 3 years or you are less than 26 years old in order to benefit from a Europcar insurance contract when renting a car in French Guiana.
