What are the conditions to rent a vehicle from Europcar French Guiana ?
Minimum age : You must be at least 21 years old. For prestige vehicles, specific age and license duration requirements may apply.
Driver's license : A driver's license valid for more than 1 year is required.
Means of Payment : A bank card is required for rental.
Documents : All documents, including driver's license and credit card, must be in the name of the principal driver of the rental.
What is the security deposit? Will it be cashed ?
The Europcar Guyane security deposit is a security measure designed to cover any damage that may occur during the rental of your vehicle. This amount is not debited from your bank account; we simply pre-authorize your credit card at the start of the rental. The amount corresponding to the deposit will be deducted only in the event of damage to the vehicle or failure to return it. The amount varies according to the category of vehicle rented. Can I change my car rental reservation ?
Yes, you can modify your car reservation with Europcar Guyane up to 24 hours before the start of the rental. Changes can be made to the duration, pick-up time or vehicle category, subject to availability. For any changes, we recommend that you contact us directly on +594 594 35 18 27. Our team is ready to help you and adjust your reservation according to your needs.
Can I authorize other people to drive the vehicle I've rented ?
It is important to note that only drivers registered on the rental contract are authorized to drive the rented vehicle and are covered by our insurance. If you wish another person to drive the vehicle, it is necessary to add this person to the rental contract as an additional driver. To do this, you need to go to the agency to make the change.
Does the fuel tank have to be full when I return the rental car?
The rental vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when you picked it up. We will indicate the initial fuel level so that you can return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel. If the fuel level is lower than that at the time of return, the missing fuel will be invoiced according to the rates in force at the agency.
Is it possible to return the rental car outside of business hours, on Sundays or holidays?
Only the agency at Cayenne Félix Éboué Airport is open on Sundays and public holidays. It is therefore possible to return your vehicle to this agency on these days. Please note that you are responsible for the vehicle until it is officially returned.
