Origins of the Tour Cycliste de Guyane

Although it took shape in the 1950s, it was during the 1978 Tour that it became a stage race open to the international market, offering the opportunity to discover the region. Previously known as "Le Tour du Littoral" or, more rarely, "La Grande Boucle Guyanaise", this is a stage race in cycling. It gained in importance and popularity over the years, while lengthening its duration. Participation has grown from a predominantly Guyanese peloton in the first editions to an edition featuring more than 10 different nationalities.

Teams taking part in 2023

For this 32nd edition, the following teams will be on the roads: Great Britain, Netherlands, Germany, Team Atria effectif global, ASPTT Nancy, la Roche Vendée cycliste, Team Born'heures and Martinique. Guadeloupe has also been invited, but has yet to make a decision.

Our local clubs include: espoir cycliste guyanais, vélo club guyanais, USL Montjoly orange, sprint club de Macouria la croix du sud, vélo club de Sinnamary and Kououret du Maroni.

Last Championship results (2022)
