How do I cancel my car rental with Europcar?
You have purchased cancellation insurance
You can submit your request through your online account, or contact us by email or phone. The prepaid amount will be fully refunded, except for the €35 cancellation fee. Cancellation possible up to 24 hours before the start of the rental
You booked directly on our Europcar Guyane website (without cancellation insurance)
You can submit your request through your online account, or contact us by email or phone. Standard cancellation terms apply (see below or our general rental terms and conditions).
You booked through a third-party site (Booking, etc.)
Please contact the platform where you made your reservation (e.g., Booking, etc.) directly to cancel. The partner’s cancellation terms apply (see their terms and conditions).
⚠️ In the event of a no-show on the scheduled date, no refund is possible unless Europcar has been notified in writing in advance.
Cancellation conditions for car rental without insurance
Without the cancellation insurance option, the following conditions apply:
Time before the start of the rental period | Reimbursement / fees |

At least 30 days before the start of the rental | Refund of the reservation amount, subject to a €50 cancellation fee. |
Between 29 and 15 days before the start of the rental | Refund of the booking amount, subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking amount, with a minimum fee of €50. |
Between 14 and 3 days before the start of the rental | Refund of the booking amount, subject to a cancellation fee of 75% of the total booking amount, with a minimum fee of €50. |
Less than 3 days before the start of the rental | No refund. |
In the event of force majeure: in the event of the death or illness of a direct ascendant or descendant, the spouse or the customer, the rental amount will be refunded, subject to a €50 cancellation fee, upon presentation of a medical certificate or death certificate.
